Lorena Fernández is a Spanish SAG-AFTRA actress and award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She wrote, directed, and starred in the animated short Dance of the Books, which qualified for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the 88th Academy Awards through its Los Angeles theatrical release.. While living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she studied film at Santa Fe Community College and was selected for the Milagro Initiative at Los Luceros, founded by Robert Redford. She recently appeared in the feature film Breaking Point and is currently producing and starring in All That Lingers.
My Story

I’m drawn to people and their stories, especially where strength and vulnerability meet. I was born in Ibi, Spain, a town known for its toy industry, where both of my parents worked. Perhaps that is where my sense of play as an actress began.
That instinct led me to New Mexico’s independent film community, where I studied Filmmaking and I gained on-set experience in productions such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. That experience taught me how much collaboration and generosity matter on set. Living between Europe and America has also given me a broader perspective that I bring to my work in Los Angeles today.
